The Institute for Medical Informatics and Biometry ( IMB) is part of the Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden. The institutes research focuses on medical biometrics, bioinformatics, systems biology/medicine, including mathematical modelling, as well as medical informatics. In addition to these scientific activities, the IMB offers various services (e.g., consulting and education programs in the field of medical data science) for faculty and students at the Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital.
